The Secrets of Success for Bhakti Chai

In Part I of our series on female entrepreneurs, we take a look at a huge success story out of Boulder.

Brook Eddy went to India with her family about 10 years ago, and fell in love with a special Chai.

She learned how to make it, and once she started making it in Colorado she had friends dropping by all the time, asking for some.

She eventually brought some to a café, and the owner ordered 3 gallons.

From being made on a stove at her home in Nederland, to making 500,000 gallons a year, it’s all happened in just 5 years.  Bhakti Chai has seen revenues double annually, and now they are projecting 6-million dollars in revenue this year.  They order ingredients from all over the world – ginger from Peru, tea from India, spices from everywhere – and then brew & bottle their Chai products in Longmont.

Brook eddy and Bhakti Chai prime examples of entrepreneurship at its most successful.

On Tuesday, we’ll share another huge success.  Pure Barre Fitness is headquartered in Denver. We’ll meet the woman behind this new fitness craze.
