DENVER – A funnel cloud was spotted over the east Denver metro area Wednesday afternoon as a severe storm cell moved though the region, prompting a Tornado Warning.

The rotation was witnessed in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch neighborhood near 38th & Tower Road.

The National Weather Service could not confirm if the funnel cloud touched down as a tornado.

Many parts of the metro area received heavy rain and/or hail.

Remember to seek shelter in a sturdy building if conditions look threatening. Although there are no severe weather watches for the greater Denver area, that could change in the hours ahead.
