DENVER — Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will attend a private fundraiser in Aspen on Monday, multiple sources have told FOX31 Denver.
No details have been released and, at the moment, no public campaign events are scheduled in Colorado.
But, sources tell FOX31 Denver that the campaign may be considering adding a public event or two, possibly one Tuesday on the western slope and another Wednesday morning in Colorado Springs, likely something focused on the wildfires that have been burning across the state.
Last Friday, President Obama toured the Waldo Canyon Fire in Colorado Springs along with Gov. John Hickenlooper, Sen. Michael Bennet, Mayor Steve Bach and Congressman Doug Lamborn.
And a week prior to that, First Lady Michelle Obama rallied supporters at events in Centennial and Pueblo.
Romney didn’t campaign in Colorado once during the month of June, after campaigning in Fort Morgan and Craig in May.
