Dry weather starts to move back into metro Denver

After a wet weekend a much drier forecast is taking over.
Tuesday will start off sunny followed by building clouds in the afternoon. There again could be one or two thunderstorms especially south of Denver.

12:03 PM: Flood advisory lifted for all parts of the state.
10:47 AM: Urban and small stream flood advisory issued for Douglas County and southwestern Arapahoe County.
10:39 AM: The closure at 17th Avenue between Newton and Perry has been lifted now that the street is once again clear.
10:16 AM: Highway 24 — one mile west of Tennessee Pass and approximately six miles north of Leadville — has been closed due to a washout.
10:09 AM: Highway 14, which was closed due to a mudslide for close to three hours Monday morning, has been reopened from mile marker 115-121.
10:03: AM: All lanes of 6th Avenue at Perry Street are now clear.
10:02 AM: Urban and small stream flood advisory has been issued for the Denver metro area until 11 a.m.
9:56 AM: High waters and possible stranded cars are being reported at 48th Avenue and Tennyson Street near Berkeley Lake.
9:49 AM: CDOT is reporting that 6th Avenue is clearing up eastbound, but westbound remains blocked.
9:39 AM: Viewer Chuck Goodwin is reporting a “downpour” at Rocky Mountain Metro Airport in Broomfield.
9:30 AM: There are new reports of a stranded car and a water rescue being carried out at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Newton Street, near Sloan’s Lake.
9:00 AM: The Colorado Department of Transportation reported high waters were slowing traffic in both directions on 6th Avenue under Perry Bridge.
8:45 AM: Cyclists were being forced to take alternate routes on the Cherry Creek bike path near the intersection of Speer Boulevard and Banock Street due to high rushing water.
8:30 AM: The Denver Police Department responded to three cars that were either stuck or flooded in the intersection at the intersection of 12th Street and Welton Street, near the Colorado Convention Center.
