LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – A 13-year-old Larimer County teen has died after apparently being electrocuted while working on an irrigation system, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred Saturday just after 8:00 p.m. near Ted’s Place on Highway 287.

The girl, identified as Kelsey Helen Graves, had been dropped off by her older brother to help clean a filter on an irrigation system. After receiving no response to a phone call, Kelsey’s brother returned to her location and found her unconscious.

He immediately began CPR while other family members called 911. A medical helicopter was requested to transport Kelsey to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead on scene at 8:44 p.m.

Kelsey’s death appears to be an agricultural accident; however, the final cause and manner of death will be determined by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office.
