WELD COUNTY, Colo. — An 11-year-old boy died Friday night after he was shot in the chest. His brother was arrested, and police say they are not pursuing any more suspects.

According to The Weld County Sheriff’s Office, Andre Limas was shot in the chest at a home in the 4200 block of Grand Teton Dr. at approximately 5:15 p.m. Paramedics took the boy to North Colorado Medical Center where he later died from his injuries about an hour after the shooting.

The victim’s 18-year-old brother Jordan Limas was arrested on charges of criminally negligent homicide. There were reports that the siblings were fighting over a gun when the incident occurred, though police have not confirmed those details.

Jordan was scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
