Police: Suspects pose as utility workers in alarming home invasions

LITTLETON, Colo. — Littleton police say two alarming home invasion robberies could be connected.

The first occurred in late August when three men robbed a Littleton home. Investigators believe the same suspects hit a Bow Mar home about a month later.

Police say three suspects, posing as utility workers knocked on the door of an elderly Bow Mar couples’ home.

When the homeowner opened the door, police say the three suspects rushed in and tied the couple up and robbed them.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to please call police.

Xcel says residents utility workers typically respond to our home following a specific request from the homeowner.

They say all workers carry a company ID and people should Ask to see it.  And if they have any questions they should call police and have them check it out.  Investigators say they do not have any other cases involving this specific home invasion MO.
