Investigators look for suspect in Aurora homicide

AURORA, Colo. – Police are investigating a homicide they say happened Saturday night in Aurora.

According to Aurora police, officers were called to the 10300 block of East Jewell Avenue at approximately 11:15 p.m., after a man was found dead by an acquaintance Saturday night.

Officer Frank Fania with the Aurora police said an acquaintance went to the residence to meet the man, but when he found him unresponsive he called police.

Investigators are currently following up on some leads, but have not made any arrests. Fania said that investigators do not believe the homicide was a random act.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will be performing an autopsy early this week. The victim’s identity has not been released.
