COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Police said a pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Colorado Springs early Sunday.
The Gazette reported that officers were called to the intersection of Hancock and Astrozon Blvd. just after 3:40 a.m. Sunday.
Police found a man’s body lying in the westbound lanes of the Hancock Expressway when they arrived at the scene, and the vehicle that apparently hit him was gone, according to the paper.
The Hancock Expressway was closed until 10 a.m. so investigators could survey the area. The paper reported that the victim’s name has not been released, and police did not provide information about the vehicle that could have hit him.
