Denver Zoo offering discounted admission, free tours to veterans

DENVER — To honor veterans this upcoming holiday, Denver Zoo will offer free admission to veterans, and discounted admission of $6 for their family members on Nov. 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The zoo is also offering free guided tours for these honored guests. Veterans must present a valid ID or proof of service to be eligible for this special offer and registration is required for tours.

The tours are free, will last 90 minutes and are designed to engage families of veterans in a fun-filled day together exploring Denver Zoo`s public areas.

Tour times on both days are 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Registration for tours is required, and reservations must be made by noon on Saturday, November 10, 2012.

To register, call 720-337-1491 and leave your name, phone number, the planned day of your visit (Sunday, November 11 or Monday, November 12), your preferred tour time, the number of people in your group and their ages.

Veterans are encouraged, but not required, to wear their uniform.
