DENVER -- One man is in custody after leading police on a chase shortly after witnesses reported at least three robberies across Denver Sunday.

The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was captured after a short foot chase early Sunday afternoon near the intersection of W. Florida Avenue and S. Osceola Street.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspect attempting to rob a gas station, music store and electronics store before leading police on a chase in a large SUV.

After being arrested the man was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses tell FOX31 Denver the suspect never showed a gun during the attempted robbery and may be responsible for other robberies in the past.
