BOULDER, Colo. – The Colorado Buffaloes have fired second-year head coach Jon Embree after a rough couple of seasons on the football field.

The Daily Camera reported that University of Colorado Boulder athletic director Mike Bohn informed Embree that he was fired at the Dal Ward Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Colorado Buffaloes have gone 4-21 after two years, and the Buffs went 1-11 this season, while failing to win a home game at Folsom field for the first time in history, according to the paper.

The paper reported that Embree is supposed to meet with his team tonight, and a press conference will be held on Monday at the CU campus.
