DENVER — Shortly after being involved in some sort of dispute Friday night, one of the suspects in the incident was hit by a car while trying to cross Broadway.

That individual, whose identity had not been released as of Friday night, was in critical condition shortly after the hit-and-run accident.

According to Denver Police spokesperson Sonny Jackson, the original dispute occurred east of Broadway and north of East 10th Avenue before 5 p.m. Shortly after that, one of the suspects in that dispute became a victim.

“For some reason, the suspect ran across Broadway heading west and was hit by a car,” Jackson said. “The car did not stop.”

Police are now looking for that car, which they believe to be a white Honda CRV.

Shortly after the accident, the victim’s belongings, including a bag full of salad, could be seen strewn across the road.

Broadway was closed for a brief period of the Friday evening commute as police cleaned up the scene and investigated.
