Woman thankful Good Samaritan found her keys in RTD parking garage in Denver

DENVER — Gioia Cardelli took the light rail early last Friday morning, just like always. She parked in the RTD lot near DU, just like always. And she put her car keys in her purse, just like always.

Or so she thought.

She says something made her check right after getting on the light rail. And the keys were gone.

She had dropped them somewhere in the parking garage. She says she panicked. She got off at the next stop and caught a train back to the parking garage.

She feared someone had either stolen the car and now also had keys to her house, or that the keys were lost for good.

But when she tried the car door, to her amazement, it opened.

Turns out someone found the keys, unlocked her doors and left the keys under the mat, with a note on her windshield.

She says the good Samaritan saved the day and made her week.

She wrote a letter to the Denver Post and is talking to FOX31 Denver in hopes the person hears her story and knows just how grateful she is.
