DENVER — Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will hold the first major fundraiser for his 2014 reelection campaign on Tuesday night.
The $550 a person event will take place at the Cherry Creek residence of Pat Hamill, the founder and CEO of Oakwood Homes.
With state officials barred from receiving lobbyist contributions during the legislative session, which begins Wednesday, Democratic and Republican state lawmakers are also holding fundraising events this week.
Separate fundraisers for House and Senate Democrats got underway at Monday at different locations on the campus of the University of Denver.
House Republicans will hold their own fundraiser at the Colorado Auto Dealers Association Tuesday afternoon.
