Suspect arrested after woman is shot, killed in Denver

DENVER – Police arrested a man they said shot and killed a woman on Pearl Street Friday night.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 1300 block of Pearl Street just before midnight Friday.

After arriving at the scene, police found a woman who suffered from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Denver police arrested 40-year-old Clifford Dee Fordyce for investigation of first-degree murder.

The victim’s identity has not been released.
