Police issue alert for 16-year-old girl missing from Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Colo. — Police issued an alert late Wednesday night for a missing teenage girl from Johnstown.

They say Jessica Shepherd, 16, hasn’t been seen since 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. She was last heard from at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday via Facebook and text messaging.

Witnesses told investigators these messages contained troubling information that she was “with a guy named ‘Dave’ and was scared.”

Police also say Jessica urged in these messages to “call the police.”

— 5’4″ tall, long blonde hair, blue eyes
— 135 lbs.
— Wearing black leather jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes
— Piercings on nose, upper lip and eyebrow
