LOVELAND, Colo. — A tipster led Loveland police to uncover a plot by two people to try and lure child predators to a secluded location and rob them, police said Monday.

Dustin Canup, 20, and Sereena Morrison, 18, both face felony charges including conspiracy to commit kidnapping, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit extortion, said Sgt. Mike Halloran of the Loveland Police Department.

Detectives learned Canup and Morrison were “attempting to lure child predators to a private, secluded location where they could robe the pradator,” Halloran said.

“Their plans also included intent to specifically lure pedophiles who claimed to have children; thereby, giving Canup and Morrison the ability to kidnap the children from the pedophiles,” Halloran added.

Loveland police detectives worked with detectives from Colorado Springs and the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children task force on the case.

Halloran said Canup had a 12-inch fixed blade and a pair of metal handcuffs on him when he was arrested.

Both are being held in the Larimer County Jail. The full list of charges against them include:
