DENVER — Denver Police have confirmed two children and a mother are dead at the scene of a murder-suicide in north Denver Wednesday morning.

At least one more child was rushed to a nearby hospital. As of 9 a.m., police confirmed that child was in critical condition.

Denver Police said the shooting took place at a duplex located at East 50th Avenue and Pearl Street shortly before 7 a.m.

The report coming from police at an 8:15 a.m. press conference from the scene confirmed earlier scanner traffic that indicated the shooting was a murder-suicide involving a mother and children.

The names of the mother and children involved are yet to be released.
