DENVER — A teacher at Douglas County High School was arrested Tuesday on charges of sexual exploitation of a child, authorities said.

Timothy Martini, 26, from Castle Rock, faces two felony charges of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, said Sgt. Ron Hanavan of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the Office of Special Victims Unit began investigating Martini in February, Hanavan said. Details about the accusations against him have not been released as the case has been sealed.

Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy Robert French was arrested over the weekend on a similar charge.

“There is a common investigation, but the Martini case is a separate case,” Hanavan said.

Martini is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Hanavan did say that anyone who may have information related to this investigation is asked to call deputies at 303-814-7131.
