Virginia man dies in skiing accident at Breckenridge
SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. – A man who was visiting Colorado died after hitting a tree while skiing at Breckenridge on Sunday.
According to the Summit County coroner’s office, 45-year-old Robert Redmond struck a tree on the Columbia ski trail. Redmond was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time.
Redmond was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood where he was pronounced dead on Wednesday, according to Summit County coroner Timothy Keeling.
Redmond was in town visiting from Virginia, Keeling said.
