Second child, suspect now dead after El Paso County stabbing

FALCON, COLO. — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that left one child dead and a second one in critical condition late Wednesday night.
As of Thursday morning, police were reporting that the second child and one adult suspect were both dead, as well.
Police say the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Wednesday in Falcon, a rural town northeast of Colorado Springs.
Police have confirmed two children were stabbed. One child, 1-year-old Scarlett Gallagher, was found dead when police arrived. A second child, 3-year-old Ryan Willhite, died from his injuries at a nearby hospital Thursday morning.
Suspect Ethan Courrau, 22, was also transported to a nearby hospital where he died from injuries. There has been no word from police on how Courrau, who is not the father of the two children, was injured.
