Man dies after assault in Denver, police look for suspect

DENVER — Police were looking for a suspect who they say assaulted a man at W. 12th Ave. and Santa Fe Dr. Monday.

The victim was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he died.

“It appears  the victim was assaulted by a unknown suspect who fled the scene on foot,” says Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson. “There is no additional suspect information being released at this time.”

The assault happened at about 5:50 p.m. Monday.
