Multi-car crash on U.S. 36 causes long delays

DENVER — Most lanes of westbound U.S. 36 were closed for about 30 minutes Wednesday afternoon near Sheridan Boulevard after a multi-car crash.

According to a tweet from Westminster police, the crash involved nine vehicles.

Only the far right lane of 36 was getting by.

SkyFox was over the crash and showed multiple cars with what looked like fender-bender damage. No injuries were reported.

The highway was back open around 4:40 p.m., but long delays are expected along the highway.
