Arsonist set 9 fires in Denver overnight
DENVER — Someone set nine separate fires in Denver overnight damaging cars, a garage and the landscaping between two homes.
All the fires happened in the 2500 block of Dexter Street between East 23rd Avenue and 28th Avenue. The first fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. in a trash bin that had spread to an adjacent garage.
Within an hour, firefighters were called to at least six cars that had been set on fire as well as a second garage fire, said Denver fire spokesman Mark Watson.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters also found several vandalized cars in the area, Watson said.
One woman is being held for questioning, but she is not being considered a suspect, Watson said.
