DENVER — It’s Bike to Work Day across the state, and with temperatures in the 90s Wednesday, Coloradans couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day to cycle around town.

Denver Public Works will be holding a Bike to Work Day breakfast at Civic Center Park from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Cyclists are welcome to stop by the park for free treats from vendors such as Starbucks, Jason’s Deli, Blue Bell Ice Cream and more.

Civic Center Park is just one of several locations providing breakfast for cyclists. The REI flagship store located at 1416 Platte Street in Denver will also be giving out breakfast from 6:30 a.m. until 9 a.m., as will the Hi Rise Bakery at Larimer Square.

Visitors can even have their bikes tuned up for free at many locations.

Mayor Michael B. Hancock and Lt. Governor Joe Garcia are scheduled to speak at the Civic Center Park event around 8 a.m.
