Mom, toddler stabbed on Greenbelt trail in Wheat Ridge
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Police confirmed that a double-stabbing occurred on a trail in the Greenbelt open space area on Thursday morning.
A Wheat Ridge Police spokesperson said the stabbing was reported around 11:30 a.m. on the Clear Creek trail, which is near the intersection of West 48th Avenue and Pierce Street.
The two victims in the case were a mother and a toddler. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have identified one suspect in the attack, and have said he is a white male in his 40s, standing approximately 6-feet tall. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, a blue shirt, black boots, and he reportedly has tattoos on his shoulders and neck.
