Formal murder charge filed against woman accused of killing roommate
PARK COUNTY, Colo. — Formal charges were filed Monday against a Wheat Ridge woman accused of killing her roommate earlier this year.
Prosecutors in Park County filed a first-degree murder charge against Melissa Miller in the killing of Annie Meyer.
Meyer disappeared in February. Her remains were found in a rural part of Park County southwest of metro Denver in July.
Police arrested Miller shortly after that.
Prosecutors also filed theft and two counts of tampering with physical evidence charges against Miller on Monday. The court did not address bond for the suspect and the arrest affidavit remains sealed.
Miller has a preliminary hearing and bond hearing scheduled November 27.
