Police: Fan rushed to hospital after fall from escalator at Broncos game
Fan falls from escalator at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. August 29
DENVER — A fan fell on an escalator during the Broncos game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Thursday night according to Denver police.
Police say the fan who fell from the second level was conscious and talking when he was taken to the hospital.
Reports indicated he may have had a head injury.
A witness described a loud “boom,” then looked to see what happened and saw a man on the floor, bleeding. He says the victim’s friend was yelling for help and paramedics on bicycles and police arrived quickly and blocked the area.
Police say the initial investigation shows this was an accident.

The stadium management company released the following statement late Thursday night: “We are aware of an accident involving a patron falling from an escalator during the fourth quarter of tonight’s game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.”
“The victim was taken to an area hospital by Denver paramedics, and Stadium Management Company is working with authorities to gather more information about this incident.”
