A day after a spokeswoman in the Orange County, Calif. District Attorney’s office said there was a warrant out for the arrest of Von Miller, she said it was a mistake and there is no warrant. There never was one.
Susan Schroeder said Wednesday Miller did not show up in court for a speeding ticket in March 2012.
It turns out the ticket was paid and the case closed soon after the initial court date.
“I wasn’t sure,” said Susan Schroeder, spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney in a story in the Denver Post. “We make mistakes. My punishment for it is I’m getting a hundred phone calls today.”
Joby Branion, Miller’s agent, said Thursday Miller paid the ticket and all fees on July 9, 2012 and the case was closed three days later.
He said no warrant was ever issued. This particular incident was finished 14 months ago.
