More than $1 million donated to help Colorado flood victims
DENVER — Colorado’s Own Channel 2 News partnered with other Denver TV stations for a fundraiser Wednesday to help victims of the Colorado Flood.
Donors came through in a major way. The phone line were open from 4-10:30 p.m. Wednesday and the total raised at 10:30 was $1,001,287 and counting.
The fundraiser phone bank was at the Rocky Mountain PBS studios in Denver.
Donors can still contribute online at RedCross.org.
Funds raised will go to the American Red Cross and Community Food Share. All funds collected by Community Food Share will be split between Weld County Food Bank, Food Bank of Larimer County and Community Food Share (Boulder County).
The Salvation Army is also accepting donations for flooding victims right now.
