Man presumed dead in Larimer County flooding found alive
DENVER — Investigators have found alive a man thought to have been killed during Colorado’s recent flood, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said.
The Drake man, 46, has been missing since floodwaters swallowed his home last week, the Coloradoan reported. But investigators tracked him down — very much alive – on Monday, LCSO spokesman Nick Christensen told the newspaper.
“It turns out he left his residence before it was destroyed,” Christensen said.
Earlier Monday, Larimer County officials identified a 79-year-old woman who died in the disaster. On Sunday, KWGN independently confirmed that 60-year-old Patricia Goodwine of Cedar Cove was also a victim.
