Suspected Oskar Blues serial car burglar arrested in police sting
LONGMONT, Colo. – A suspected serial car burglar was arrested early Saturday morning after he broke into a police bait car, the Longmont Police Department reported.
Police believe Kenneth Gubalane Binsol, 35, has been breaking into vehicles in the parking lot of Oskar Blues Liquids and Solids, 1555 S. Hover St., for some time. A delivery driver for Blue Point Bakery in Denver, Binsol allegedly targeted cars left at the brewery overnight.
Following numerous reports of car burglaries, police set up the bait car early Saturday morning. Officers then observed the suspect and his 14-year-old nephew breaking into the car and taking items.
Binsol has “a criminal history” and has previously been charged as a felon in possession of a firearm, police said.
