BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Fire caused major damage to a house in Broomfield late Monday afternoon.
Neighbors say they saw smoke and heard windows breaking at the house at Outlook and Summit before 5 p.m.
No one was home at the time according to North Metro Fire Rescue.
Crews went into the basement to fight the fire when they arrive, but everyone had to pull out because the living room floor started to collapse from the flames.
It looks like it started in the basement, but investigators still have to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
There were no injuries to anyone, and firefighters said there were no pets inside.
