Police suspect alcohol factor in Loveland rollover crash
LOVELAND, Colo. — Investigators suspect that alcohol was a contributing factor in a rollover crash that injured two people Tuesday evening.
Just before 5:30 p.m., Loveland Police were dispatched to 1700 North Cleveland Ave. after a car struck a concrete barricade and rolled, injuring both people inside the vehicle.
Kelly Kenny, 27, who was driving the Honda passenger van, was traveling south on Cleveland Ave. when she hit the concrete barricade, police said. Kenny was partially ejected from the car as a result of the crash.
The passenger, 25-year-old Adam Kimmel, was ejected from the car during the rollover.
Both Kenny and Kimmel were taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies for their injuries. Their conditions were not known as of Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, investigators were called to the scene due to the seriousness of the accident. The case will be presented tot he District Attorney’s office for possible charges.
