I-70 closed at Georgetown because of crashes at Eisenhower Tunnel
Westbound traffic waiting at the Eisenhower Tunner after CDOT closed it Tuesday afternoon.
DENVER — CDOT closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at the Georgetown Tuesday afternoon because of accidents on the west side of the Eisenhower Tunnel.
The closure started around 1:30 p.m.
Earlier in the day the interstate was closed at the Eisenhower Tunnel because of crashes.
It’s not known how long the closure will last.
Snow started falling in the mountains early Tuesday. It’s expected this storm will bring several feet of snow to the high country.
Loveland Pass was also closed because of adverse conditions.
