SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. — A disabled Arizona man said he was banned from Walmart for life when he tried to price match.
Joe Cantrell said he went to buy Christmas ornaments and tried to get an employee to lower their price based off another retailer’s ad, reported KNXV-TV.
The employee said no, and Cantrell complained to a manager. Four days later he returned, but was handcuffed by sheriff’s deputies who escorted him out of the store.
A Walmart spokesperson said Cantrell threatened an employee during the prior visit and authorities were called “out of an abundance of caution.”
Cantrell denies the threats were made.
