1 year later family still waits for justice for teen hit by car
LONGMONT, Colo. –The sister of a 16-year-old Longmont teen still hopes that the driver who hit and killed her brother, who left the scene, will one day be caught.
The incident happened on New Year’s Eve. Jason Grimmer was hit as he was crossing Main Street in Longmont.
Sister Rachel Waltz, 18, created a Facebook page called Justice for Jason as part of an effort to find the hit-and-run driver.
“I miss him a lot,” she says.
Rachel says she reads comments left by people who knew Jason and those who don’t.
Longmont Police say they have no new leads.
Grimmer’s family plans to re-visit the site where he died, New Year’s Eve.
