Chance for light snow on New Year’s Day
DENVER — There is a chance for light snow early Wednesday morning for parts of the metro area.
Your New Years’ forecast will be dry with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 27.
We were getting brushed by the southern-most part of a storm that was moving east Wednesday morning. In Denver, we expect less than an inch of snow as this storm moves through early Wednesday morning. The foothills may see higher accumulation amounts.
A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect Wednesday until around noon for the central and western mountains, with 6 to 10 inches of snow possible.
Highs Wednesday will be in the 40s.
Milder weather comes Thursday and Friday with the next chance of snow arriving late Friday night and all day Saturday.
