DENVER — The Denver Nuggets suspended Andre Miller for two games Thursday for conduct detrimental to the team. General Manager Tim Connelly made the announcement.

Miller, who plays point guard, will not play in the Nuggets’ game against Memphis at Pepsi Center Friday or against the Lakers in Los Angeles Sunday.

He has played in 30 games for the Nuggets so far this season.

Denver is on an 8-game losing streak and he was seen yelling at coach Brian Shaw on the bench during the team’s home loss to Philadelphia Wednesday night.

Miller has been playing fewer minutes recently.

The current losing streak is the Nuggets’ longest since the end of the 2002-03 season. Wednesday’s loss was the fifth straight at home. The team only lost three games at home all of last season.
