DENVER — Former Denver Broncos player John Lynch was named one of 15 finalists for the pro football Hall of Fame class of 2014.
In just his second year of eligibility, the hard-hitting safety and 9-time Pro Bowl player remains under consideration.
The final announcement on whether or not he makes it will come Saturday, February 1. That’s the day before the Super Bowl.
Lynch spent the first 11 years of his career playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He came to Denver as a free agent in 2004. He last played in the NFL for the Broncos in 2007.
