DENVER — Broncos’ Adam Gase turned down an interview for a head coaching position with the Cleveland Browns early Tuesday, according to The Denver Post.
The offensive coordinator told the Browns he wanted to focus on the Broncos’ upcoming Super Bowl game against the Seattle Seahawks and would have to pass on the opportunity, reported the metro paper via a NFL source.
This was Gase’s first year as the Broncos’ offensive coordinator. He was promoted to offensive coordinator January 2013, after serving as the team’s quarterback coach.
