ATF offers up to $10,000 reward in massive Glendale fire

Fire in Glendale caused $12M damage

GLENDALE, Colo. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced Thursday a $10,000 reward for information about a massive fire that ravaged a building in Glendale last month.

The Dec. 14 blaze at the Cherry Creek Corporate Center, at 801 South Cherry St., could be seen for miles and is estimated to have caused more than $12 million in damage. The fire destroyed the complex before being contained within 40 minutes, DFD said. Firefighters were able to save neighboring buildings to the south and east, both of which sustained minor damage. Several cars in the area were also damaged by radiant heat, DFD reported.

While the cause of the fire was officially ruled undetermined, the investigation continues, the ATF said.

Investigators believe that someone may have additional information regarding this incident and are seeking the public’s assistance. Anyone with information was asked to call the Glendale Crime Stoppers line at 303-639-4328.
