DENVER — Whether they found out at the last minute or had to work on Friday, there was still a number of Broncos fans flying out of Denver International Airport Saturday, heading east for the big game.
Tonya and Rick Wernsmann of Glenwood Springs own the 19th Street Diner and said they had planned to host a Super Bowl party. Then good fortune fell into their hands — they bought tickets from a friend who ended up not being able to go.
They say they paid face value for their tickets.
The weather appeared to be cooperating for flights heading to the east coast on Saturday.
The Broncos face the Seattle Seahawks Sunday afternoon in Super Bowl XLVIII.
