AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department released the identity of one of the suspects involved a fatal shooting that happened Saturday at an apartment complex.

Abdullah Jhalil Ratcliff, 19, was arrested for aggravated robbery, said Aurora police in a Facebook post Tuesday.

Police said the second suspect in the case is a juvenile and did not release a name.

The shooting occurred at the Weatherstone Apartments on E. 12th Street near Nome Park around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday.

Responding officers found a women who had been shot and died on the scene, according to Sgt. Chris Amsler of APD.

An eyewitnesses was able to give police a description of the vehicle the woman’s killers used to leave the scene, said Amsler.  After a search, officers found the vehicle in the area of East 22nd Avenue and Billings Street.

Two men were seen running from the vehicle, Amsler said.

“Officers quickly contained the area and after an extensive search located both of the suspects and took them into custody without incident,” Amsler said.
