FSIS: Wyo. company recalls beef jerky products
Wyoming Authentic Products, LLC, in Cody, Wyo. recalled beef jerky products, announced the FSIS on Feb. 8, 2014.
WASHINGTON — A company based out of Cody, Wyo. has recalled beef jerky products due to a processing deviation, announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Safety and Inspection Service Saturday.
According to a release from the FSIS, Wyoming Authentic Products, LLC recalled about 365 pounds of Wyoming Gourmet Beef Products produced on various dates between Nov. 4 and Dec. 18, 2013.
The recalled products were sold in Colorado, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, as well as some Internet sales, said the FSIS. The products had the establishment number “EST. 44972″ inside the USDA mark of inspection.
Recalled products included All Natural Angus Original Flavor Jerky with case code 05AE30811, All Natural Angus Peppered Flavor Jerky with case codes 06AE30821, 05AE31711, 05AE31021 and 05EIJ32511, and All Natural Angus Honey Flavor Jerky with case code 04AE30921.
The company discovered the problem first, and then brought it to the attention of the FSIS.
So far, neither the company nor the FSIS have received reports of any illness due to consumption of a recalled product.
The FSIS advised anyone concerned about becoming ill from one of the recalled beef jerky products to contact a healthcare provider.
