GREELEY, Colo. — A Greeley man was sentenced to serve ten years in prison Friday for sexual assault on a child and possession of child pornography.

In November, a Weld County District Court jury convicted Clarence Pinkstaff, 57, on charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and sexual exploitation of children, according to a release from the District Attorney’s Office.

Pinkstaff had worked as a building manager at the Greeley-Evans School District, but the crimes did not occur on school property, said the DA’s Office.

According to court documents, Pinkstaff showed an 8-year-old girl a pornographic video and touched her inappropriately, while he and his wife babysat the victim and her brother in their home.

Law enforcement also uncovered more than 20 images of child pornography in Pinkstaff’s possession, said the DA’s Office.
