Shots fired inside Thornton residence, 3 found dead inside

THORNTON, Colo. — Three people were found dead in a Thornton residence late Sunday evening, police confirmed. And though the cause of deaths remained a mystery Monday morning, police also said no suspects were being sought in the case.

Thonrton Police said they responded around 9 p.m. to a townhome residence located at 9318 Welby Road Terrace, which is just southwest of Thornton Parkway and Colorado Boulevard. Witnesses told police they heard multiple gunshots come from inside the residence.

When officers arrived on scene, they forced their way into the residence and discovered an adult male and two females deceased inside. As of Monday morning, the cause and manner of death of all three was still pending further investigation by the Adams County Coroner.

Police said that no suspects are being sought in the deaths, and that there is no further danger to the public. However, police are seeking any witnesses who may have information regarding the incident.
