Students heading to United Nations

GOLDEN, Colo. — A group of middle school students from Compass Montessori will represent the foothills school at the United Nations in April.

The kids will take part, for the second year in a row, at the Montessori Model United Nations competition.

“We will take a few of the students who presented position papers to actual UN delegates,” said instructor Rick White. “The kids get a once-in-a-lifetime experience, history lesson, and chance to meet their peers from around the world.”

For Imani Garcia, who is going for a second time, she says, “It’s an opportunity to improve on my presentation.”
