MISSOULA, Mont. — An avalanche hit a neighborhood in Missoula, Mont. Friday, demolishing a house on the north side of the city.

Officials told KTMF the two elderly residents who live in the house were missing Friday night. Then, both the man and woman were found, rescued and taken to a hospital.

An 8-year-old boy was also found earlier and taken to a hospital.

An avalanche team was called to the scene on Holly Street inside Missoula’s city limits to assess whether there was danger of a second slide.
